I want to help you discover healthy resilience, and realize your inner power.
Howdy,
My name is Micah. I grew up a child of the 80's in Casper Wyoming atop a mountain, in a very humble one-room cabin, devoid of running water, year round for seventeen years. The family dog was a malamute named Paki who my single mom harnessed in the wintertime to pull me, the laundry, the groceries, drinking water, and trash, in/out of the cabin (purely out of necessity at the time). In wintertime, we melted snow for dishwater and shower water. I think it's safe to say that my everyday life differed from most. Enduring frigid winds, subzero temperatures, and the ceaseless toil of off-grid living at 8,100 feet elevation; when I wasn't an angry child or teenager, I found solace in the untouched beauty of the meadows, the companionship of my domestic critters, the vast expanse of terrain, and my very favorite; nature's paintings in the sky. I've discovered that these very circumstances, that I once perceived as limitations, form a large part of my inner bedrock.
Loathing the very thing that also provided comfort, was at one time a real thing. If you're reading this; I'm positive you can relate to that feeling of dichotomy; because you're human. Learning how to process dichotomies and make sense of them, has been an absolute game changer in truly learning how to listen to all parts of myself and truly choose how I want situations to serve me.
Like many of us, I've lived through various chapters in my life, and where and how I grew up was just one of them. In other chapters, I’ve had the opportunity to process trauma, grieve the loss of friends, family, and a life partner, choose forgiveness, learn how to identify and recognize healthy relationships, develop a sense of agency, and discover that the good, the bad, and the ugly are all parts of me. Full send.
It's remarkable how our perceptions can transform the meaning of our experiences (past, current, and future); what was once a source of shame, embarrassment, guilt, discomfort, fear, anger, sadness, anxiety, despair, helplessness, disappointment, frustration, jealousy, disgust, etc., can evolve into a source of strength (or any other usable emotional resource) with a genuine and real shift in thought, and not with just the trendy, "think positive" fad that has a temporary "fix". I want to show you the ways in which YOU have the power to transmute experiences; what was once a burden becomes a source of unwavering strength and connection to self.
As a Coach, I want to help you identify what's holding you back and employ strategies that will entirely serve you.
I want to help you feel profound, and witness you unearth your Inherent self.
